This transition began March 1st 2008 when I had my last relaxer and was totally fed up with the damage of my relaxed hair. It grew fine, but nothing I did would keep it in a healthy state. So I began my journey to see what the all natural me could be.

  • @tabbyshauna, I know Iknow. lol. videos coming very soon.

  • I ran out of space to say Heyyyy Cancer!!!!!!!! lol. Just pray I can stay motivated to do it. At this point, its the shortest my hair has ever been and it wearing my down cause I'm use to long hair. But Health over length right?

  • First let me congratulate you for doing your first hair vid. I'm so proud of you... lol. I can't wait to see your BC a few days after my birthday... June 30th baby! Just keep the heat out of your hair. You don't want to damage your natural new growth with heat before you even get started. Heat can permanently straighten/damage natural kinky curly hair so be careful. I did the braidout during my transition, for about a year before doing the BC.

  • Hi Shida. Thank you very much for the congrats. Staying heat free was a very challenging thing due to the fact that I loved wearing my hair straight and really don't know how to manage my natural hair, for I have never even seen it until now. Girl it's very tough, but I want healthy hair first. I think that the heat may have already given me a set back. But I am on the right track now I hope. I only blow my hair on cool air now cause I'm afraid of braiding it wet due to the shrinkage.
