72 LED surface mount charlieplex clock. The clock itself is 4" square - 100mm. It is mounted in a limewashed wooden case.
The lights stream from the minutes into the hours, in both directions. The hour is indicated by two leds. Seconds have their own LED too.
@gizmoguyar Yes there are up to ten LEDs on at once. They do dim in comparison to one lit on its own, obviously, but I reduce the LEDs' current resistors and most LEDs are very bright these days. Most people say if anything the clocks are too bright for their taste rather than too dim. Dimness is not an issue for me, except in the mental department.

How do you get the LEDs to be bright with that many on? I though Charlieplexing only allowed you to have one on at a time? With even 10 LEDs that would give you a duty cycle of less than 10%, at which point I would expect them to dim substantially.

@MOBjr66 The circuit board is 100mm or 4" square.

What are the dimensions of this clock?

@pantherxx010 It's been a while since I did this video. I have a new camera and will take some new pictures. It looks way better in the flesh.
I have an RGB version currently under construction, but with 216 anodes to wire up, it is quite a time-consuming task.
