Although you may think all pet food manufacturers have your pet's best interests in mind, this is not always the case. Current pet food regulations allow manufacturers to use ingredients that you would never knowingly give to your pet. In fact, you may be SHOCKED to learn what some companies are putting in their pet food!

The Native Americans probably would've seen this as a very earth friendly use of energy and resources. Why waste it all?

When I lived in Montana, I once had a kitten that was fed cat food from the grocery store for the first 5 months after being weaned from it's mother's milk. I began letting him outside and he started hunting, killing and eating wild rats, mice, squirrels, voles and an occasional rabbit it caught in the nearby Forest Preserve. My cat specialized in killing Fox Squirrels. This cat grew into a humongous, healthy tabby cat that lived for 22 years until it was eventually killed by a wolverine.
