Varsouviana - US School of Music (USSM) Home Study Course, Lesson 21 for Accordion Accordéon Acordeón Akkordeon Akordeon Harmonika Fisarmonica Acordeão Акордеон Аккордеон Accordian Roland FR7 FR-7

This same piece appeared in Palmer Hughes main course Book 2 with slight differences, such as in the middle part. Although I play it here exactly as written in Lesson 21 of the US School of Music, for my own playing of the piece for family and friends I play a combination of the two versions. Thus I provide some interesting variety, as well as a longer performance. Picking up these ideas from different arrangements is yet another advantage to following more than one set of progressive lessons, each of which often contain some of the same example pieces.

  • I want to be my grandfather:))

  • @oliverT1310 - Thank you my dear friend. If you were my grandchild I would let you play my accordion all you want.

  • from which country is this tune/composition? plz tell

  • @TheXXxMaSteRZxXx - The Varsouviana or Varsouvienne is 3/4 time dance music that is believed to have originated in Poland, and then popularized in France, Germany, as well as the US. Search YouTube for Varsouviana, Varsoviana or Varsouvienne and you'll see lots of examples.

  • you have some magical accordion that does not require you to move the bellows much! mine seems to need much more effort?

  • @yanalita - If you consider electronic things to be magical, then yes my accordion is magical. Roland electronic accordions are more sensitive and require less airflow. This makes them easier to play compared to acoustic accordions. The model (FR-7) in this video is full size and can play 16 measures per bellows stroke. Smaller models contain less air and must be pushed in and out more. In my most recent videos I use a small FR-1, which can barely do 8 measures per stroke.
