The saddest thing in "evangelicalism" today is a great majority of people would say "Is that Purpose Driven?" when evaluating if they should do something rather than, "Is that Biblical?" Thankfully, not all have succumbed to the "peace at all costs, truth only if it's accepted" philosophy. Jeff Noblit and Todd Friel discuss church discipline and how it actually strengthens a Church rather than weakens one.

  • If a brother or sister sins, go and point out the fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that “every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”

Most and the oldest greek textes say "... if a brother sins" - is much more general that Jesus can chenge us through our brothers and sisters. It describes the way as Galatiens 6, 1 and Romans 15 also does. Important !

  • Praise God

  • Christ commands us to conduct church discipline. Thank God that some men have the courage to do it.

  • Amen- about time there was some discipline somewhere

  • I don't think Todd meant to say it,but he call it a "sucker sensitive church"lol.

  • amen and amen.

  • ha-evanjellyfish! like joel osteen

  • amen there are so many well paid "preachers" round here that work 1. 1 hour service per week..which is good because they are lacking God in the lead

  • God bless Pastor Noblit, and I pray He bless him with more wisdon, knowledge, understanding and boldness to use for His glory. :) It would be nice to have a great pastor around here, our are all arminian evangellyfish spinless preachers.
