To Celebrate a UK genre phenomenon, Ministry of Sound proudly present Hardcore Classics. Three CDs of Hardcore in its purest form. Mixed by a convocation of the biggest and best Hardcore DJs in the business; Bunter, Slipmatt, Sy and Dougal, and featuring nothing but the very best in Classic Hardcore. From tunes that spawned the entire Happy Hardcore phenomenon through to bleeding edge, modern crowd pleasers. Includes all the essential classics and new exclusive remixes of some modern classics.
The life of a Hardcore DJ was relentless. All night circumnavigations of the UKs motorway network became common as the most popular artists raced from venue to venue. The likes of Sy, Dougal, Force, Styles, Brisk, Unknown, Luna-C, Marc Smith, UFO, Billy Daniel Bunter, Sharkey, Seduction, Vibes, Scott Brown, Ramos, Supreme, Hixxy, Energy and The Godfather of Hardcore, DJ Slipmatt all becoming regular features on any self respecting flyer. MCs, forever coaxing the whistle posse, became an equally integral part of the Hardcore experience. This 3 cd set documents the period of the rise of Hardcore in 1994 and celebrates 15 years of the true dedicated following of Hardcore.
Hardcore till we die? We certainly think so !

dougal and eruption - party time (i think) - fuck knows why that comes on when it says 'sash'

mainstream 'clubland' type dance and bounce started using old hardcore tunes (i think flip and fill did it first with shooting star) - whatever you thought of the mid nineties cheesecore it was still pretty original - in the sleave of hardcore heaven volume one theres a footnote about hardcore breaking through and achieving the mainstream sucess it deserves - in reality the tables have turned and its hardcore which is now saturated with the second rate remixes!!!

Actually no i disagree with that. Clubland X-treme Hardcore 3 was the last really good one. I mean at the time it was released probs didnt sound that good. But put it with todays box sets and it KICKS ASS.

Yeah i see your point. But its no good releasing one or two good singles on vinyl and stuff. Its the box sets that count. Cause itunes and software like that still isnt that up to date with hardcore.

i havn't got a problem with the record labels, its the quality of the tunes coming out now that really suck. Still on quosh and evolution u get good releases, raver baby are ok. actually the singles released are generally still good.
just these shit box sets.

I agree. The only way hardcore is going to live is if it takes a break. I mean if you listen to say something like bonkers 12 then listen to CXH5 you can tell the difference. All the tunes produced now all sound the same. It needs to distance itself from AATW. Hardcore will need a new resist to come along and snap it up to stop it from dying, Its the only way possible. Even if Hixxy/Darren Styles want to stay with AATW there is always fresh talent around with old school credentials.

unfortunatly guys the scene is dying. i think this injection of big name labels is just a short lived injection. the tunes are shit and the people listening nowadays are dickheads.
sy once said he liked hardcore because it had no support from mainstream media. this isnt true anymore.
