It's not that it's just they don't care about CC problems, it's that they don't care about people calling in period. It's really upsetting. Even I enjoy putting on the CC and I'm not deaf. When it's garbled like that it bugs me too. I can only imagine how you felt.

I'm hard-of-hearing and always have been. I've always been somewhat introverted, so my ability to comprehend speech suffered; I can only understand someone who has an accent I'm used to or when they speak clearly. Hearing aids don't help, neither does increasing the volume of the TV or having the person speak louder (unless the person is quiet). That said, I hate waiting on a show all day and sitting down to watch it only to have this happen. It completely ruins everything.

its probably the people. but i dont think there really is a way to fix it... if anything finding how closed caption works is the best way to say i think this might be the problem... =) this alwayz helps me with an issue i may be having whether it is my computer or anything else

this happens on our TV. were hearing, but some of us can't really hear on TV well so we use captions. so annoying. they should fix this because it is not fair for captions to be messed up.

Next time, if the station doesn't resolve your issue, contact the FCC. They have a website, you can file a complaint there. Cite the date, time, channel, etc. Forward your email that you wrote to the station, too, so you can show the FCC that you contacted the station first and got no response. Everybody needs to complain! Power in numbers!!!

this happened to my friend once when she was watching stargate, so she went online and found a copy of the script for the episode! that might be one solution you could try, although obviously not an ideal one. i'm sorry you're having trouble though, it must be so frustrating!

ROFLLLL!!!! Bleep. hahaaha!!!!
Yesssss and not only garbled, but sometimes they slip something in... like I was watching the X-files and someone slipped in Mulder saying "Scully take your shirt off". And of course he did not say that. What the??? It is a game to some of the interpreters or whoever types the words in.

OMG, is that for real? Wow.. I didn't know that. Only thing I know like Jes said there are few words spoken on TV but was never typed in. Oh and other thing also when there is bleep on TV but did not beep on CC. Ha ha.
