The reason this stuff is so popular is because the language is geared toward people who have seen certain things back in the day when use of hallucinogenic drugs was really widespread. If you've been there, you can kind of get what these new age people are saying. However, trying to market it or bring about social change because of it is a huge mistake. It really is just about being still. There's nothing to preach, nothing to learn.
