Paul Olden calls the first-ever pitch in Tampa Bay Devil Rays history. It was thrown by Wilson Alvarez on March 31, 1998 against the Detroit Tigers at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Fittingly for the Devil Rays, it was a ball.
