On August 20, 2007, Wayne Wang and his co-director Rich Wong started shooting their contribution to our Chinatown Film Project. Ten short films are being commissioned from New York based filmmakers, e.g. Wayne Wang, who are asked to show us what Chinatown looks like and means to them. These ten New York films will be exhibited with the videos of our YouTube channel as an inaugural public program of MoCA's expansion, slated for May 2008.
In these behind-the-scene clips, Wayne talks about the concept behind their film, a musical tribute of sorts to the working class of Chinatown.
