Haven't seen the orchestra version from the beautiful song: "My Fathers Favourite" written by Patrick Doyle, everywhere on youtube. I've decided to upload it for you, I simply adore this. Enjoy!

  • I think period films produced in the early 90s are universally exquisite, both music- and costume-wise, and of course there are good actors&actresses to boot... S&S, P&P, Little Women, the Age of Innocence, etc, etc. This piece just gives you an exactly-what-sounds-like-a-regency-period-film sort of feeling :)

  • No wonder this was her father's favorite...

  • What an emotional piece of music, stirring up many of the emotions that we feel during our mortal journey.Life is full of melancholy, but this is not to be avoided, for it steels us not to yield but to endure and endure and in the end we may, succeed. In comparison to when Jane Austin wrote the story, we enjoy an easy life to what they experienced. It was in a sense fatalistic and ones options were limited primarily by birth and status. This music captures these emotions and facts to a tee. Bravo!!

  • HOW ROMANTIC.....

  • I absolutely love this piece of music...was humming it all evening, but did not know what it was called. Thanks for uploading it. x

  • i love how it starts out kind of bright and hopeful then descends into a sort of sad and mournful tone, it's a very pretty song, and it almost brings tears to my eyes, O.o
