Local samba fans rejoice as The Calatayud brothers -- Marquinho and Alex - from Goiania, Brasil, return together to the stage in San Francisco on November 26 at Cafe Du Nord. Marquinho is in town for the weekend and this one night only event is his first Bay Area show since he permanently returned to Brazil to reside after 20 years in the Bay Area. During that time, Marquinho was the busiest and most recognizable local cavaquinho player and singer of the popular form of samba known as pagode. Live Samba-Pagode starting at 9:30pm with dancers and guests appearing throughout the night.
