I used to have a cable TV show called Casual Observations. I wanted to put together an episode about how I was so appalled with the rude habits of Raleigh drivers; such as suddenly everyone that has been behind you all day MUST pass you the moment you turn your turn signal on to switch lanes. This clip was to be the intro song for that show which never aired. The song is one of Johnny Orr's demos that he never ened up putting on an album. It's a kind of a metal instrumental song that has a bit of a Joe Satriani feel to it. For this video he and I went and shot a lot of video of traffic when carpooling to and from work together and I talked him into letting me shoot him for the guitar solo for this project. (I think that was the same day we recorded the audio for the lawn mower and weed eater for the Grass Is Greener song on his album) All of the really high speed time lapse footage was done by Larry Martin Stover of Atlantic Audio Video. You can see what Johnny Orr is doing in THIS century at www.johnny-orr.com

The majority of this video was shot Between Research Triangle Park and Raleigh along I 40 over several weeks. This video was put together on TV studio equipment. When I transfered it to digital I used a really cheap capture card and that makes it skip a lot. Through trial and error I have learned to upload smoother videos, and eventually I hope to upload a better version of this.
