To intensify the election campaigning for his party, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi was in the saffron bastion of Jhalawar today from where Vasundhara Rajes son Dushyant Singh is contesting on a BJP ticket. Rahul Gandhi ran BJP down for its anti-farmer and anti-poor attitude. He added that the UPA government in the last five years had left no stones unturned for the welfare of poor people. Our government launched the biggest ever Rural Employment Guarantee Programme and millions of people benefited from it, he said. He claimed that in Jhalawar itself there were around 2.5 lakh people holding job cards under NREGS and more than 200 crore rupees had reached them from the centre.
