Leah's CI Activation

Leah was adopted from China in Sept. 2006 and is profoundly deaf. She was implanted with a cochlear implant on her right side in March 2007. This is a portion of activation day, April 7, 2007.

She was scared because she had never heard before. She now wants her CI's on so she CAN hear :~)

I was very moved by this. What a lovely child. Can you tell us how she is doing today?

She is doing very well. Leah loves listening to music and dance, she's on a cheerleading squad, and understands & says more words everyday.
