Chris Eyre and Linn Productions present Imprint, a contemporary Native American dramatic supernatural thriller that tells the story of Shayla Stonefeather (Tonantzin Carmelo), a prominent Native American attorney who has turned away from her people and the dreams of her youth. When she returns to the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in the Badlands of South Dakota, her ancestral home, to visit her dying father, ghostly apparitions begin to haunt her with a frightening vision she does not want to believe.
As the story begins, Shayla is prosecuting a Lakota teen in a controversial murder trial in Denver, Colorado. After a hollow victory, she returns to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to visit Sam, her near-catatonic father, who is experiencing mysterious violent seizures. Shayla's mother Rebecca, convinced that Sam is dying, tells Shayla that they must find Nathaniel, Shayla's brother, who disappeared two years ago and has not been heard from since.
Soon Shayla begins to hear strange noises and experience other suspicious activities in and around the home. When her rental car has "GO HOME APPLE" spray painted on it, Shayla becomes convinced that she is being harassed by Frank Whiteshirt, the older brother of the slain boy she prosecuted in Denver.
After a harrowing encounter with an apparent intruder that Shayla believes she may have shot, the tribal police are called in, and Tom Grey Horse (Michael Spears), finds no evidence that anyone was on the property. He suggests that her "intruder" may be Robbie Whiteshirt, the slain boy she prosecuted, whose spirit is not at rest.
Though Shayla initially rejects a spiritual explanation, as she experiences more unexplained visions, she begins to uncover what she believes is a link between them and her brother's disappearance.
Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery, regardless of its origin, Shayla confronts the apparition, which leads her to a horrifying revelation and a purpose she could never have foreseen.
