The original Bill Laswell mix of "Simple As That" — it was part of the initial version of the "Crazy Wisdom Masters" album rejected by Warner Bros. for the Jungle Brothers' proposed third full length, which would've been released in 1993. The label saw it as too noisy / weird / non-commercial. It was remixed and made more palatable and included on the album "J Beez Wit Tha Remedy", but this version is far more interesting.

  • This version is insane!!! Why do record companies encourage artists not to be artistic?

  • @Anthony420542 Check out the extreme stereo mix. Baby Bam's all in one channel, Mike G's in the other. It's dooooope.

  • @pyenapple Thank you for posing this!!

  • Totally bonkers!!! The Jungle Brothers, if they had their way, would have made an album that possibly would have confused as many people as it enthralled...Listening now you can hear how they were trying to create hip-hop that sounds as if it is coming together AND falling apart simutaneously!! The crazy off beat loops, strange rhymes and odd mixing technique seem so far ahead of 1993 expectations that people in 2012 will still be playing catch-up....
