I think you all will get a kick out of this, I remember the first time I heard this at some point I had to ask myself what I was listening to, when you hear this you will know why...
;D

I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.

Since they are so difficult to find no one should mind me uploading them, if you have issues with me uploading them please send me a message and I will remove them.

  • Paganini Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 6 (recomposed by Kreisler), with Eugene Ormandy, Philadelphia Orchestra, rec. December 13, 1936.

  • wish there was a modern day kreisler with a beautiful tone and lots of arrangements/transcriptions/compositions

  • Just AMAZING! I m asking myself the same question as u did now! Thanks so much for uploading this! Thank you! Thank you!

  • @GregHuismans Well Kreisler did obtain a head injury during World War One so he may have been "deluded and borderline insane" but he is sure a BRILLIANT man, violinist, and composer in many mens' eyes!

  • Gross. What the hell is this useless POS. Anyone who thinks he can improve on Paganini is just deluded and borderline insane.

  • I just heard the same Kreisler arrangement on a KQED (SanFrancisco PBS) broadcast of "Vienna Philharmonic - summer concert" series. It was

pretty amazing too (and modern sound).

  • For those who are too young to listen his live concerts, these recording is probably the most accurate Kreisler sound we could ever find.

Regarding the double stopping of Heifetz and Kreisler, I hear the former play two violins while the latter one string one violin. However, both of them are perfect in intonation.

  • as people have said, Mr Kreisler was a phenomenally gifted technical musican, but his style was not in displaying fireworks foir the sake of them[as Heifetz was apt to do] - Kreisler was more a controlled violinist who forsook flamboyance for tone and artistry- As people have said , make no mitake, this man was a technnically sound and gifted violinist - A virtuoso of the highest order

  • Bizarre arrangement, but nice to hear Kreisler showcase his technique!

  • The end is somehow missing. But lovely piece.
