In both of Miss Tucker's WML appearances posted here, she's beautifully dressed and wearing a mine's worth of fabulous jewelry. A classy broad, in the best sense of both words.

Jude, this simple show is so addictive. I wish it had offered a little of Tucker's routine.

I thought she was great. A little before my time. This aired on almost exactly my 1st birthday.

It should be pointed out this lady Shophie Tucker - pre-dates even Vaudeville- Born in 1884...she would have been 73 years old in this Tv apperance - At the age of 22 in 1906...she did a "black-face " over the top stage act which propelled her to early fame-pre-dating Film & Tv & Radio ...this is a very Rare CLIP !

Robert Q. Lewis was a really fine player - this is just more evidence.

"You know girls, your diamonds won't keep you warm on a cold winter night"
Were truer words ever spoken.

Thanx for posting this 1957 episode. Dorothy Kilgallen always played seriously and to win, so when she got lost in space, it was doubly funny. Ms Tucker stayed active in showbiznia practically up to the very end. Only way to go.
Wasn't it just wonderful to see Dorothy and Arlene stand in respect for this legendary singer? They don't do it very often. Therefore it's a great tribute to one of the great entertainers of the stage.

I noticed that myself, and I was so impressed by it!
