  • Great tutorial Deb. Thanks. What about sizing photos? I have looked all over for a how to on that. Recently I lost my photo editing program that worked like a gem. It was very user friendly. (It told me the sizes, choices such as: web blog, email, etc.) Now that it's gone, I have a new photoediting program but I have to choose my own sizes such as 300 x600, 800x 1000 etc. I don't know which ones to use for ning. Can you help? Thanks.

  • DG....I know exactly what you are talking about here. I used to use Jasc on my pc which was a wonderful program and cheaper than Photoshop. With this Mac I am now on, I don't know how to change sizes and stuff in iPhoto!

A friend of mine is going to give me some help on this and I will get some info for you at the same time! :D

  • Thanks Deb! You're a gem!

  • My computer guy says to try the 300x600, then up it to 800x1000 to see what works best. You are allowed 10MB on Ning.

Do a right click on your mouse and click on Properties to find out the size of the file. If you are on a Mac, the right click will provide a Get Photo Info link to do the same thing. xoxoxoxo

  • I don't know if it's because of iPhoto, but I also drag to desktop to load. Macs still rock:-)

  • Yes, they do. I really like my Mac now....at first I wasn't so sure.

Just the other day, I was able to pull photos out of my iPhoto files and download directly from there, but by george when I went to make this video this weekend...it wouldn't work. Duh......

  • Thank you Deb. I'll try that.

  • great tutorial :) :)

  • It's a mystery to me about this bar thingie. It really does simplify things, however....it's just not very pretty right there on the Front/Home page.

  • Hooray! I'm glad this video has been helpful to you. :D
