@Ansuz92 I think people who are born into richer families tend to be more careless about pissing it away, probably because they've always got their heritage to fall back on. It may be why so many richer people become drug addicts.

Not that working class people don't become drug addicts, but they're less inclined to become even worse off than they already are by following something like anarchism, regardless of how ideal it is. No one likes being poor.

@DanteWhite I completely agree. Consumerism only "works" because people buy into it thinking it makes them happy, and they are for a short while, but keep requiring these short fixes, and never find or even contemplate true happiness and fulfillment.

But even with consumerism aside, it makes life so much easier when you've got enough money to always afford the essentials; food, shelter, proper clothing, and if applicable, access to healthcare. Money and consumerism can be mutually exclusive.

@Ansuz92 that is because when u have had considerable amount of money all your life you realize how shitty that life actually is and that the illusion of a good life being consumption and the fulfillment of the american dream is nothing but bullshit and that a life inclined towards more mutual aid and social participation is more fulfilling
