This Old Guitar by John Denver

This is my second recording of This Old Guitar by John Denver. Except for the very first part of the intro, many parts of the guitar work that I have done here were copied from 2 or 3 versions of this song that John played. He played this song slightly different in almost every audio and video version that he recorded.

Very nice version. I look forward to your instruction video, this song is one of my favorites to play but I know I don't play it right. I'm self-taught and never did learn to read notes so lately I have been cruising youtube for "teaching videos", yours are some of the best I've seen so far. Thanks for posting this cover.

Hi. First of all, thank you very much! Yes, I do plan on doing an instructional video on this one as you are the second person who showed interest in one. I have one I'm working on to help a friend who's having trouble on the song "For Baby". So this one is second in line. Looking forward to hearing your PPP video!

Thank you! You are so kind. I would hope John would be proud. To know that would be my ultimate thrill!!! It's not always easy but I guess after playing the guitar for 30+ years, the guitar become a part of me...kind an extension of who and what I am. John's music just really speaks to my heart. It's the type of music I always wished I could have wrote.
