@paintedship hey painted ship...thanks for the education on spelling. I am glad you pointed that little detail out. You know, in my defense, I just type rather fast and if a small error is made in the course of things i wont take it to seriously. ON the whole, my grammar, spelling and punctutation are first class.
How is that gaping asshole of yours? does your neighbours ginger cat still pass in and out without your consciousness informing you still?

@gregingram1970 you might want to learn how to spell the word ridiculous

@fiendwithoutaface66 Turned into more pop? is that not what japan were - a pop band? i think you want to believe japan were something other than a commercial pop band with a record deal to sell records to fans. thats capitalism and its what japan got a record deal to do. Of course, they failed to be successfully commerical because, simply, they were not good enough. they did not have enough good tracks to be successfull enterprise. a failed pop band you could say.
-
japan were not as good as duran duran and lasted about 1% as long. Indeed duran duran have produced about 750 times what japan have ever released, sold about 1 billion more records, probably around 1 million times for famous and infinatley more talented.
but in saying that, will all people rembember that every band and song write has an influence.

@paintedship Nick rhodes tried to look like sylvian...and sylvian being a singer and nick rhodes being a keyboard player...(now im considering this in my mind)...and im working out how this fact (if thats what it is) has shaped the entire muscial history of duran duran. My take on this: if you cite that tenuous pish one more time i will probably have an annuerism laughing. EVERYBODY who cares knows davy sylivan modelled david bowie, bryan ferry and andy warhol. So did nick rhodes.
-
@paintedship I dont understand what that has to do with this argument? I really cannot work out what pointing to davy sylivan coz hes a singer and nick rhoses is a key board player? so whats the link? simon le bon is the song writer with duran duran not nick rhodes. you should look to his influences you thick cunt. Hows that gaping asshole of yours tonight?

@paintedship hey paintedship! how are you? I thought i kickd your ass silly last year? I remember delivering an abundance of evidence that quashed your offense mythologies and rediculous comparisons with the mighty duran duran v japan...LOL.
-
@gregingram1970 you sure that isn't your delusional fantasy?
-
@ebbhead20 You present real facts like this and Greg will still deny it...
It says it on electric barbarella's single cover
"Band founder Nick Rhodes:
-... drawing from the musical, visual and lyrical stylistic elements of Bowie, Ferry, Sylvian and Eno...-"
No doubt Rhodes tried to look like Sylvian, he and John Taylor were the biggest fans of Japan.

@freetobefreddy fascinated? or do you mean, more specifically and honestly now, you pulled on your man-lever and visualised davy sylvian bent over your toilet bowl as he sang the chorus of Quiet Life, and, just as he hit that high catchy bit "Never looking back, will you think of me?". Go on and tell the truth!!! LOL LOL

If it wasn't for Japan there would be no Duran Duran,Kajagogoo,Thompson Twins, etc. They were the pioneers of the New Romantic movement. So influential! I'm a hard rock fan but really appreciate what they did. I bought this exact album as an import and was so impressed with the entire recordings.
