@BlackCherryAudio, You created the dichotomy in the first place - read your own comments! Bose sales figures are not a dichotomy - its called evidence. Derp, if your gf workedin collections, she would never even meet a single bose customer who kept their product - talk about bias. Only 1/5 deliquent account at the collection stage? thats a great stat. Just proves you have no clue what you are talking about!

@MrBosesucks I still stand by what I said...they don't hear any better than we do. They take the time to educate themselves and know how to break down the specifics. They know what speakers will sound best in a given situation. Now I have a feeling that you haven't taken the time to research and what is audio and its many components. Yet you have the audacity to call names and bash others. PLUS you still wont answer the questions I have already asked... FAIL!!

as an AV contractor, ive been looking at the same bose lifestyles systems for 10 years. just now did they catch up with the hdmi times. my lifestyles system is packed in its box waiting for a relative to ask for audio, and my onkyo (yes i said it) is taking its place. i even prefer onkyo's stock speakers over bose's cubes. ive dealt with tons of manufacturers, bose being very very very low on my list of suggestions to customers.

B & W 5.1 is jusamazing. I got the whole system in 2007 for the whole 5.1 satellite system with ROTEL DVD player and AMPLIFIER for only HK $12,800. While at the same time before purchase, I was considering the BOSE 5.1 and even the 2.1. I am still fully grateful that I had chosen the B & W system, the sound is just so clear and GENUINE, the bass(I am a bass lover) is fantastic for such UNDER-PRICED system. ^^

ALso, I really would tend not to consider BOSE products. I will test them for there is a BOSE store below where Iive. Honestly speaking, my HK$550 SONY headphones do sound better than the BOSE QC 2. The ear cushion of my QC 2 is peeing off n less than 2 years and the cushion becomes thinner and external sound can come in and can no longer isolate much sound after all. I bouAUDIO TEHCHNICA for my friend the B version and it is really WORTH it and better than the BOSE QC2 latest version one.

Well, I agree with you in many ways. One differenceis that bose sounds good is because i has crated wider soundstage and thus sounds more lively, but in fact it is an illusion in some ways. I personally loves to listen to music "IN the music", in oteh wor, be surrounded b music. If one really spends time in comparing with other different brands of speakers like DALI, B & W speakers, media speaks, headphones(which I own), you will notice BOSE SOUND is lack of depth and it really isOVER PRICED.

You work for Bose don't you? I'd had Bose in three vehicles. In the first two cars the head unit when bad after a couple of years. The Bose in my Mazda3 still works (probably because it doesn't have a Bose head unit) it just sounds like shit.
