i also have stainless steel ties on some of my upper teeth and all my lower teeth. when i was looking at it in a mirror i think it looks awkward and looks like only a cheap retainers. lol. sorry for the bad english.

To people who are going to get these and are anxious about them, don`t worry. If your ortho leaves the wire too long, it does poke. Just them him/her to clip it as short as possible and it won`t be a problem. Another thing is that the steel ties do move the teeth faster. Does it hurt? Yes it does but it`s totally worth it. P.S: My ortho didn`t put bands on my molars and my process if going quick so as your ortho if they are totally necessary. Good luck people!

@igpianca The steel tie is more hygienic than rubber and provides more pressure (moves teeth faster). El alambre es mas higiénico que los elásticos y ponen mas presión en los dientes (hacen que se muevan mas rapido). Sorry, no Italian lol.

I had to have one of these, but it fell off because the wire kept poking out and eventually it got caught on my lip and came out so I had to go to the ortho a week early -_ -
