"Palestine" was a term created by the Roman empire, which named after the Jewish arch enemies, the "Phillistines" and was used to supress Jewish nationality. The Phillistines were not Arab and the Arabs didn't call themselves Palestinians until after the 1967 war. In fact, up until the 60s, Arabs in the area would be insulted to be called "Palestinians" because the word "Palestine" was commonly associated with Jews.

How ironic, they call themselves Palestinians today.

@ThinkToFreedom Before this contract, it was stated that both the Transjordan and Palestine would be allocated to the Jews, but the Arab leaders kept rejecting these contracts as they wanted more land. This is why the Jews have one of the tiniest countries in the world (and the only Jewish country). Meanwhile there is 22 Arab states, which have been founded on ethnic cleansing, colonization, slavery, and genocide.

@TheCoolomar007 Also important to note, that the British allocated this land known as the "British Mandate of Palestine" for the Jews. The contract was stated that the land known as Israel today, including Judea and Sameria and Gaza, would be allocated to Jews while Transjordan (today, Jordan) would be allocated to Arabs. This is why majority of Jordanians refer to themselves as "Palestinians", even though they are under Hashemite rule.

@TheCoolomar007 Actually approximately half of Israel are non European Jews. Jerusalem was majority Jewish. Also, majority of "Palestinians" were migrant workers from other countries. "Palestine" was also never a country, it was a term coined to refer to the coast along the Mediterranean. The territory lines of what Arabs refer to Palestine, was created by the British.
