A debate on the fairness of affirmative action. Does it unfairly penalize Whites? Is it the best way to help Blacks?

Affirmative Action is about making higher education accessible for all minorities... not just for Black applicants. As a matter of fact, Asian-Americans tend to be the beneficiaries in either case as far as ethnicity. Furthermore, socio-econmic status is being overlooked here. For example, is it fair for a wealthy minority applicant to be given priority over a poor white applicant, when both have the same score? Or when the poor white applicant's score is slightly higher?
