This video illustrates the universal tendency of repetition that is so important for the young child's development. Children learn by doing, and repetition strengthens skills and nurtures self confidence. We can help our children learn by respecting their work and giving them the time they need to satisfy this important developmental need. • I am impressed that she does not become frustrated at all, that there is a sense of purpose in what she is doing. I love that she has the freedom to sit quietly and practice this skill.
