This is a short project I did for my social work course at Warren Wilson College in Spring 2007. It is my reflections and reactions to the Civil Rights Movement. This is the original version, there is another slightly better version in my other videos.

Note: All comments made have to be approved by me before being posted. Also, a majority of the comments made about my video have been positive and I thank all of you who did leave nice comments. However, recently several crude and unnecessary comments have been made (all of which have used the n word, which I find horrible and innappropriate). Please refrain from any rude and offensive language. Frankly it is immature and I won't tolerate it. All rude remarks will be promptly deleted. Thanks!

  • Cool stuff, my great great grandfather helped start the civil rights movement. He was the guy that told the lady to go sit in the backseat of the bus.

  • @MarathonVeteran You hear that one from Tosh.O huh?

  • this is amazin

  • Thank you! I just wish the original music hadn't been deleted, I think it really added something to the over all feel of the video.

  • SADLY RACISM STILL EXISTS. IT MUST END

  • Change has come....thanks to Obama. I am not Black, I am Hispanic, but I can tell you one thing, Obama represents the minority. I am so thankful that America is moving forward, and now we can all come together, as equals. God Bless America. We can now all heal.

  • Nice! How did such racism occur? I suppose with the African slave trade? I think that is what did it. Besides, some people there were alive when slaves where still used. I know someone who is. Anyway, Nice video!

  • Happy (belated) Birthday Martin Luther King Jr.!!!

  • civil rights are granted to you by goverment, while they deny your human rights

  • check out the new song "FULL JUSTICE" now on Youtube!!

  • there are many African Americans who have given great contributions to our society. But there are many more who choose to be ignorant, even lash out in some warped sense of idiocracy. MLK Jr. did not die for you!

  • @MarathonVeteran this is a silly statement the civil rights movement had already begun before Rosa Parks refussed to sit at the back of the bus.

i would educate you but I am not because I would rather see silly... Lol

  • Excellent vid and document

  • I find it sad that so many blacks are racists towards white people, when, without the whites, they would still be slaves picking cotton. Im going to be called racist for saying that, because I'm white, but when a black person calls a white man a racist name, nothings done at all. If I ran up to a black man and called him a racist name, I would be persecuted. Funny how it works eh?

  • This is a really great and inspirational video. Black people nowadays take advantage of the freedom we have today.

  • Now all we need is for Palestine to be free and we're all set.
