On March 27, 2009, the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, held the Fourth Edgar P. Richardson Symposium, an afternoon highlighting new research on Marcel Duchamp and the role of portrayal in both his career and his legacy. The symposium was presented in conjunction with the exhibition "Inventing Marcel Duchamp: The Dynamics of Portraiture." http://www.npg.si.edu/exhibit/duchamp
