@WillMorebucks I cant say i disagree, but staying true to your ethics can only get you so far when dealing with a system that seems to applaud and push for watered down dumb shit. If they dont make the radio single they run the risk of never being known and viewed on the scale they are now, i dont really know the answer for finding a way to change that, aside from these established artists creating their own, unselfish, content focused labels, that compete with the majors.

I think it's worse when someone who's actually talented like Nas or Fab to do one of those "radio" singles than it is for Waka. Waka couldn't do a lyrical single if he wanted to, I can't blame him when he raps about bullshit. But guys like Nas and Fab actually have the ability to be great, and they settle for mediocrity sometimes. That's a lot more shameful than what Waka's doin.

@WillMorebucks Now there are exceptions to this rule. Nas for example..but for the most part it comes down to performing a few evils "makin radio hits" to get the funds and freedom to do shit how you truly wanna do it. Its not selling out, its knowing how to pimp the system (record execs/industry) U cant be mad at that..UNLESS the artist is strictly following the "radio" template and completely selling out in the name of a check. Fab is far from that. Most artists these days, i cant say the same

@WillMorebucks Name a super LYRICAL top single that any artist has made....most singles arent lyrical cause they need to appeal to the general masses and therefore are watered down (every artist does it..at least every major label artist, but they still put a slick twist on it...this Waka shit has NO glimmer of talent at all)....but since you wanna go there...Breathe....Any true Fab fan know that dude been spittin punches metaphors and sick flows since his first album tho. Fuck a radio hit.
-
lol, so fabolous is not commercialized all of a sudden
-
eventually no talent = washed up and thats where these people like waka are gonna end up
-
Name a LYRICAL top single he ever made... Cause I can name 10 cookie cutter, "please put this on the radio" singles he's done in his career. Fab can rap his ass off but he dumbed himself down for the sales. Now that he wants to be lyrical, dude can't go platinum like he used to.
Fuck waka flocka,he is rich cuz' he sell out,he work commercial things!
but i really hate that!
fuck commercial,just real!!!

Real recognise real, and when your third eye is open you know bullshit when you see it. Problem is most people don't recognise bullshit and follow the crowd. Fuck popular, be real, I don't worship money, keep it real and you may get less money but you'll get love and respect. Waka Floka is real, he isn't talented, he isn't a good rapper, but atleast he kept it real. Fab is real AND talented. Spend your money on the real and keep real Hip-Hop alive.
