@IHaveDimensia - An excellent point! The "hover time" required is tied to Finder's "spring loaded folders and windows" preference setting.
Go to Finder->Preferences->General Panel-> set the "Delay" slider for the "spring loaded folders and windows" item to short and it won't force you to hover so long! :-)
