  • Do you think the Samsung is better than the Asus..leave the battery life out and would is your opinion? I have an Asus and don't know if I should sell it then buy the series 7?

  • @elasticrubberband123 Opinions are divided, but personally I like the size of the Samsung. I also like the dock for the Samsung too. Bear in mind that I use a Motion F5v as my daily work slate tablet and a Fujitsu Lifebook T901 in my office and for video editing, so the Samsung is strictly a home tablet for me.

The screen is nicer on the ASUS (Clearer, better colour) and I've had a number of people say that it felt faster although technically the samsung should be.

  • cool device, but as you said - it's really there only to give us the idea of what's coming next with win8. this slate tablet is sort of samsung's trial of windows-based tablets. and it is successful.

  • @nazaroffkz No, actually I didn't say that. Yes, Windows 8 will be interesting. Yes, the Samsung is a taste of what will come to the market thanks to Windows 8, but Windows 7 rocks on Tablets.

More and more people are realising that they have been led down the garden path with the Apple story peddled by the media that Windows is no good on tablets.

The fact is that having a fully functionaly and tablet friendly OS on a tablet like this is awesome here and now.

  • @oztabletpc nice review btw, thank you! ps can't imagine what will be the average price for win8 tablets given that win7 tablets are still expensive.

  • @nazaroffkz As mentioned below. "expensive" is relative to value. Over time with all electronics prices will no doubt come down, and a tablet like this is already half the price of the original Windows tablets from 2002. That said, this tablet still represents incredible value just like the old tablets of 2002 did!
