  • I have a 24.5"-24.625" head circumference and my head looks like it it is oval in shape, this is my first helmet and I was wondering if I should get the size recommended by Gmax that being a XL or should I get a XXL because I have a more oval than round head shape? I read somewhere GMAX helmets were made more riders witha round head. I will be ordering it online and there are NO local bike shops to try them on at.

  • @JASONANDTRACI Read the webBikeWorld review for fitting information. My feeling is that if it's your first helmet, you really should visit a local shop and try on as many helmets as you can in various sizes also to figure out what fits. Read the webBikeWorld Motorcycle Helmet FAQ page to learn all about buying and fitting helmets.

  • Is it easy to change the visors? Does the visor mechanism look like it will hold up or break in a couple weeks?

  • @JASONANDTRACI All covered in the full webBikeWorld review.

  • NOT CRAP!!!!!

You must have taken your visor off the wrong way - I have taken mine off with no problem. Also, It is DOT approved, and there really is a lot of venting on it. It is surprising that the lights in back aren't made available on more helmets. and you know what? It is less expensive than quite a few other helmets out there.

The lights are a good idea. At night, people have another way to see you. As any biker knows, visibility is KEY! Next: a helmet with a built in FORWARD headlight.

  • great for visibility!

  • Gmax (or G Unk as we call them) make some of the crappiest helmets we sell in our Helmet department. (That's about 550 different models on the sales floor) They break on the sales floor, they straight up reek like chemicals, it sounds like an echo chamber when you have it on your head. It has a huge shell size, Very cheap quality, these come back broken all the time (Especially the paper thin plastic vents on top) For almost the same price you can get a much better HJC CL-16 or Scorpion EXO400.

  • I bought this helmet and LOVE IT, fits excellent and is light. Can't be beat for price as well.

  • @JASONANDTRACI size is one thing, form is another. don't mix em. if a helmet your head's size doesn't fit well you should go for a different helmet, not the same helmet at a different size, cause that wouldn't fit well too anyway. for example with your oval head, if you wear a round helmet your size, you will have the problem of being too up on your head. if you go for the same helmet on a bigger size, the helmet might be on the right height but there will be spaces left and right on your head.

  • Just bought a Gmax GM68s Max. I live in Thailand and today it was 35c yet my head stayed cool, great air-flow! Looks and fits great too, fantastic helmet!

  • @wbwvids Daytona motorcycle in Vancouver BC and this other shop Baysideperformace can get Gmax helmets but they can't find This Dragon Helmet so I picked up a medium Flat black but really want this Dragon Helmet Please Help???????

  • No response from Customer Service Department at GAMMA Sales (Canadian GMAX sales). Can not recommend a GMAX Helmet.
