Learn more at http://www.intelligrated.com/packexpo2011 In a video blog from the PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011 show floor, Earl Wohlrab, manager of robotic integration for Intelligrated, provides an overview of the integrated Alvey® robotic cell featured in Intelligrated's booth and discusses how PLC controls for robotics can lower some of the hurdles that have traditionally prevented operations from implementing a robotic system. The Alvey Robotics demonstration features Motoman and KUKA robotic arms operating on PLC-based controls performing robotic case packing and unpacking of bottles. A third Fanuc robotic arm, operating on proprietary robotic controls, demonstrates case palletizing.
