This is one of the first films I ever made when I was just starting to shoot super 8mm film and trying out animation. It's my humble ode to great silent German Expressionist films. This was made over ten years ago. Most of the shakiness is actually due to tape splices made on the film before the transfer and not to an unsteady camera. The tape splices make the film jump in the projector which makes an otherwise steady picture shake. Oh well, what can you do? Hope you enjoy it.

  • i think this is effing great.

i can't believe the stop motion animation. geez, the patience that takes.

are the castle shots paintings? or what-? would love to know.

  • @Dagarvs wow, thank you, you are too kind. The castle shots are is from a painting View of Toledo by El Greco. Thanks again.

  • Very nice! The "shakiness" didn't bother me...technical expertise is what we try to get, but really what matters most, is the storytelling. Hope to see more; ten years old or not!

  • @filmart1959 thanks for the kind words. I'd like to see some more films from you as well!
