  • Why? Cuz, that's why.

It's a mini-hack. Fun and harmless repurposing of "trash". Something I use to make little sound recordings so it's a tool hack.

And before you roll your eyes and cluck your teeth, my son is a recording engineer and I have access to a professional studio in the same building as my office.

Besides, it was as much fun to document as it was to do. Hey, I take 8-bit chiptune Game Boy music seriously.

  • For his purpose it sounds better than hdd noise, and at least he was creative enough to build something. Cool man!

  • That sound booth would be great if you were a mouse. By the way, the VO on this piece sounds like crap. I can only assume he used his crate-mic to record it. GOOD JOB

  • yea, ive seen people do the foam lining milk crate thing with a condenser and it sounded pretty good

  • why?

  • Pretty cool. I have the micromemo recorder that adds on to the ipod. i love it and use it for taping lectures and other audio.
