i've done the same walk to get new koyo too on 2008 and 2009

Ah! There's the small combini at 2:30 just before the stairs where they sell milk in bottles. I've done this walk to the backpacker hotels many times with baggage!

Alot of this has changed, its all been rebuilt with Mcdonalds and lots of shops, area is slowly looking better.

The first time I went there, I was having a hard time finding Hotel New Koyo. The store owner of the corner store under the bridge show me the way to get there.
