International Living Panama correspondent Jessica Ramesch drives into the town of David from the highland town of Boquete (both are in the Chiriqui province). This is just a first glimpse of David, a colonial town that offers many amenities and a very low cost of living compared to Panama City. Just take a look at the breakfast prices in this video! Though expats have in the past preferred the cooler highland areas, David is now attracting entrepreneurial types who see many niches to fill and say locals are raring to spend their money on new goods and services.

No! That is NOT a tipical breakfast. And it is ot called a "fonda" - the best places to go, are the small "toldos"= like tiki huts. The best breakfasts in the world:
-hot black coffee with sugar
-queso blanco - (white cheese)
-fried yucca
-fried corn patties (tortillas)
THAT"S breakfast. No liver or steak with onions.
