funk guitar solo

jam to a funk type backing. Just improvising really. Kick in my zendrive pedal halfway for some more grit

guitar is a 97 '60 relic strat (cunetto era) through a fender tweed blues amp with a zendrive pedal.

just a question. what's the difference between funk and blues (besides rhythm aspects)

to me funk is a rhythmic thing. Dividing the bar into 16th notes. Any genre of music can be funky, you can play jazz or reggae or rock and it can be funk.

But blues is about the scale and feel you bring to the music. Blues can be funky too. I think this video is probably funky blues if I had to categorise
