This is the MIGHTY FLYERS live in 1976. The Flyers were a country/rock Christian band. Lead singer/songwriter David Rees loved bands/singers like The Eagles and Neil Young. Dave died tragically in 1978.
Co-founder of the band was Nick Brotherwood, Drums, who is now Rev Canon Nick Brotherwood in Canada.
Nick Stone, one of the original members, has gone off the radar, I don't know where he is. Nick Stone was a dab hand at country style 'bottle neck' guitar. He is the jingly jangly sound.
I am Tim Paton. I played bass guitar.
The other guitarist on this 1976 tour, (which turned out to be a farewell tour), was none other than the unforgettable Norman Barratt. Norman died an early death in July 2011.
I have had this live recording since 1976. Enjoy. Reflect. Remember

  • Cheers Tom, I have really enjoyed listening to this. I saw Norman play lots of times and was pleased to find this excellent sounding recording.
