the brothers johnson were a staple when i dj'd in new york back in the middle 70's. this, stomp and strawberry letter 23 were always in my mixes, along with artists like bootsy collins, lakeside, gap band, sos band, will to power etc., etc., etc. the best time ever for dance music. i could go for days listing names. lets not forget kid creole and the coconuts and tom tom club and saint tropez....the best

@cbnboy34 Oh, but it IS black music, no matter what anyone says or thinks. You can't argue that it's anything else. Another one I forgot to mention is Motown. That was very superior. And lots of black people you never heard of, too.

...imagine a small city in Northwestern Wisconsin back in 1978 where at the high school on the south side of town, the kids would get together once a month and throw a dance on friday nights at the high school and dance to Brothers Johnson, LTD, Jacksons, Earth Wind & Fire, Ohio Players, Parliment, Bootsy, etc. Great memories and music!!
