Anyone remember the "JapJazz"-era?! The era flowered in the late 70's/early 80's and then slowly diminished, and fans like me was buying extremely expensive LP:s only released in and imported from Japan?! This gem was among these records!

@drvinneboombotz While the Yutaka version is the best version to date, you owe it to yourself to check out the Angela Bofill cover of this song..she does justice to the original."Something About You" is the cd!

There is a version of this song on Angela Bofill's cd "Something about You" not up to Yutaka and Patti's but descent. Check it out. This is my solid favorite. Thanks.

WHERE DID YOU DISCOVER THIS? I've been searching for the version by Yutaka only. I never knew that he recorded this with Patti Austin! Thanks for posting!

This is the original cut I remember from High School. I never knew there was a solo version by Yutaka only. I'm glad you enjoyed it just the same.
