  • one of my favorite youtube performances. this is absolutely unapproachable. the great thing about rubinstein's live performances is that he plays with a total abandon and sensitivity without his excessive worrying about blemishes in the studio. HE JUST PLAYS. its as if he was a medium between composer and audience. his tone, phrasing and colorations are so completely natural. he is my favorite all-around pianist of the 20th century and here is ample proof why.

  • Fantastic musician. Rubinstein plays with his soul.

  • @billyguns2 oh yeah? well sucks to be you.

  • Wonderful!

  • @brianCIM my favorite chopin interpreter

  • Fabulous playing and interpretation. When I heard rubinstein live in London in acout 1970 he was incredibly magical and sensitive.

  • I can barely hear this, which is greatly annoying because I am an admirer of this pianist.
