Early morning with no wind at sea and a light to variable forecast. Looking North towards Lansallos between Polperro and Fowey Cornwall UK. 25th Aug 2007 .The Katabatic wind was blowing directly below the cliffs at force 4-5 this only lasted for about 45 minutes. This video was taken as it was dying away. It was too windy to sail and film single handed a few minutes before. To top off all this I saw two Pilot whales. If you look carefully you will see one blow and then another very quickly to the left of the video. The Katabatic wind was visible as a dense fog at its beginning it was very dramatic looking like a giant tidal wave coming over the cliffs. A breathtaking mornings sailing on Crinker.
