What is so funny is that my six year old son asked me today why I wear a scarf. He then said I look like a Homeless African American...Girrrrllll little does he know!

@bridgetdew out of the mouth of babes! My sons never say anything about my scarfs but they do giggle when I put on a cat eye lol..... my son says I look scary!

My husband is not Black ... since he knew nothing about Black hair to begin with ... for all he knows all Black women sleep in scarves lol. Whatever I have done with my hair over the years he's just watched and learned. What he has had an opinion about is if I wear "fake" hair. He may say ... you have hair you don't need to wear "fake" hair. So possibly since men of different races no less about our hair they'll just roll with whatever ...

yeah i used to be self conscious about that but nowadays if ANYONE cares about their hair, they need all the protection they can get so they better tie it up somehow. no one wakes up just looking amazing, something ugly or whatever goes into it

MY HUSBAND DOES NOT MIND ! HE HAS SEEN ME AT MY BEST SO HE CAN DEF SEE MY AT MY WORST !!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL ! WHEN A MAN LOVES U,, I THINK A SCARF IS THE LEAST OF HIS WORRIES !

My husband does not mind/care. He knows I take measures to protect my hair and he respects and admires that I take care of not just my hair but everything abt how I present myself and represent me, him and our family. It is not a mood killer either. Now I dont wear ratty clothes to bed (i.e. worn out underwear, shorts w/ holes, etc)

My husband likes me to wear a scarf so he doesn't wake up to me with my hair all over my head. LOL

My Husband is'nt black. and for some reason it's a real turn on for me to have a scarf on my head when it's time to get busy. We each have our own bedrooms and bathrooms so sleeping with a scarf does'nt effect him.

@dacamla I find that my hubby does not care one way or the other how I wear my hair. He just doesnt want it shaved. Other than that it is no biggie.
