Its old capital of Nizwa lies at a strategic crossroads between ancient trade routes, and while Julia's appreciative of its castle and bustling souq market, it's adventure that's on her mind.

  • Any particular towns and cities you would reccomend? I'm heading there soon. I'm trying to visit as many "hidden gems" as possible - that is, large pre-modern villages and cities, nothing with skyscrapers or public transport.
