The album, Ithaka: Flowers And The Color Of Paint
(produced by Pedro Passos and Joe Fossard)
was considered by the respected Jornal Publico
as one of the most important records of the 1990's
in its home territory of Portugal and was
nominated for three Blitz Premios
(The Portuguese Grammy) for;
Best New Artist, Best Male Vocalist
and Best Album in its year of release, 1995.
Ironically, only 1500 copies of the record
were ever manufactured by
Fabrica de Sons (Movieplay Records).
Ithaka's (aka Ithaka Darin Pappas) third album,
"SOMEWHERE SOUTH OF SOMALIA"(2001)
produced by Conley Abrams III appears #10
on amazon.com's list of "best" rap
records of all time. A song from this album
was showcased in the 2007 hit X-Box 360 game
NBA 2k7.

and starred Academy Award nominees
Chow Yun Fat and Mira Sorvino
(Oscar winner for Woody Allen's The Mighty Aphrodite).
