The Death of Alan Turing

Rare documentary excerpt traces the decline and subsequent death of the mathematical genius and one of the founders of the modern computer. Turing was also one of the leading codebreakers at Bletchley Park during World War Two, and played a leading role in the breaking of the German Enigma codes.

He could have advanced computer sciene and math.

If they only let him live and be as gay as he wants to be.

I am allways very annoyed when the spokesmen of the public think they have a word of the individual's sexuality. May that be expresident Clinton or Alan Turing. Or the pope declaring contraception evil. It makes me rage.

If you search under Bletchley Park you will find this production in FULL format, and not a terrible copy, filmed from a TV screen (as this appears to be). The film quality of this is just bad.

It's a very sad story. Homosexuality was a taboo subject at that time. However Turing's childhood circumcision traumatized him greatly and had an effect on his thoughts and actions.
