  • @loopylupin09

    yes x

  • So thrilled to have found this - didn't think there was any footage from when I was in the cast - thank you so much : ) What lovely memories , ha ha like what I've done there: "memories"

    .

  • @TheKathrynGaul Hey. Ok I dug out an old programme for the show & guess what......You're right, it is Richard Armitage in these videos. I was confusing this cast with the previous one. Armitage fans rejoice eh! :)

  • @TheKathrynGaul Yeh, that's exactly what a 'swing' is. So, seeing as they were all filmed around the same time, I guess Richard Armitage is in all my 'Cats' vids. Don't even remember him! Lol. Terrible! :)

  • @TheatreDude267 hehe, nobody's perfect and you have a very good excuse for forgetting - it was a while ago! I'm just so grateful that you've uploaded these clips and I'm sure Richard's other fans are too! I have a 1998 DVD of "Cats" - Richard is listed in the credits as "swing". I had never seen that term before so I'm guessing it means he was on standby, just in case one of the male cast members couldn't go on for some reason?

  • @TheatreDude267 Please see my reply to JaneChiara above

  • @JaneChiara Yes, that iIS Richard Armitage in this particular video. He understudied Macavity as well as a couple of other parts. No other guy there is 6' 2'' tall! He was 22 years old at the time and was a part of "Cats" for about 18 months prior to his attending the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. from 1995 to 1998.

  • What a neat stage.
